Faith's Chandelier - Before & After

Photobucket

Have you tired of my chandy stories yet? If so you may want to skip this one! Do you see the one in the top right hand corner in the above picture? It has the black base with the brass highlights. I knew of the three this one would be perfect for Faith's room because of its simple feature and size. Photobucket
We painted this one in a slight pink. When she first saw it before it was hung she was mad because she thought it was white and we had told her she was getting a pink one. Once we had it in the house and out of the sun she could see it was indeed pink and was happy once again!

We gave this one a bit of distressing on the edges to make it look worn and old.Photobucket

We are still finishing up the lighting around the house so there may be a few more posts a coming.

Happy Thursday!

You inspired me to put some up in my house! My daughter has a cute one sprayed "Ballet Pink" in her bedroom and I have a small size chandelier (with just three bulbs) in my pantry/laundry room! I love them! Thanks for the ideas!

Yup, I love this one too! I must paint my chandeleirs soon! I have a plain old brass one in my dining room, how sad is that!

I am in love...again! Then again, I fall in love with everything you do! I found a chandy at DI for a whoppin $5!! Can't wait to redo it, but the "candlestick" part of the lights (I don't know what that is officially called)are yellowed, brittle and broken. So I need to buy new ones. Any suggestions on where to get some?

I love chandeliers, wish I could put one up in every room of my house. But the Bahamas is so hot, it's more feasible to have ceiling fans. I like how you stressed yours, it works well with the decor. http://decoratingwcents.blogspot.com/

Love it! I love just barely pink. My girls would also have thrown a fit if it weren't "pink" enough-- or "purple" for my purple twin. yes--they've declared themselves teh purple & pink princesses. ;) gotta love this age. Thanks for sharing. Jessica @ www.paintinmyhair.blogspot.com

Oh I love this! Thanks for the super cute idea. How did you distress it though? I am thinking it's rather hard to distress metal.
