The Paige James Dresser - Custom Refinish Before & After

Before For those of you who have been reading this blog for a while know how much I love old dressers that sit up on legs. They are sooooo my favorite! This one is no different and along with it comes a beautiful mirror as an extra bonus!

After
This dresser belongs to a client in Beaver. She drove close to three and half hours one way to bring us this piece, a headboard, and a hutch! She is so cute and pregnant with her fourth baby. She was initially told she was having a boy which would make two of each. And then - what do you know - her next ultrasound told a different story and now there will be three sisters in the house!
And this sweet dresser is going in her oldest daughter's room. These little dressers are so perfect for a girl's room. The white has such a fresh clean look!
This sweet little backsplash is what connects the mirror to the dresser. It has feminine curves and gives it a unique look.
Jodi opted for the beaded sunburst hardware on the two top drawers and the little teardrop dangly pulls on the two bottom drawers. I love this combination and actually have one quite similar in my home. The dull brassy pulls compliment the old keyholes perfectly and really helps them pop. This dresser has the old paneled look on the sides. I love the depth this provides! And the casters on the legs helps maintain the age of the dresser.
The curved detail at the bottom once again adds a feminine touch.

Thanks to Jodi and her family for letting us help them set up a beautiful room for the older sister as they make room for another little sister. :)

Happy Monday!

This is SO lovely! What a wonderful thing to do...take old pieces of furniture and breathe beautiful new life into them. I love it! Thanks for sharing.

I also have a question. How do you include your blogging friends' blog badges on your blog list? I have the blog list that automatically updates their postings, I just don't know how to include their badges (I use blogger too). If you can let me know, just e-mail me at cindy.swanson@gmail.com Thanks much!

Oh I just adore this! I did one almost identical about a month ago white like this. Now I have a new one just the same but it's the serpentine style. It should be finished in the next day or so.

Melanie-Once again-a gorgeous job! I love the tear drop pulls and that they are the "old" brass look. I have found myself drawn to old brass once again-after tiring of it for a while.

I know that the girl it is for will just love it. My daughter has 3 little girls right in a row too. They are wonderful friends. Hugs- Diana

I love it! I have those same knobs that I'm waiting to use when I paint an armoire. Love the shape, style, and painting of the piece.

Would be interesting to see what gender your client's baby is. With 2 sonograms telling me something different, I wouldn't rely on them until the baby came!
