The Rebekah Desk & Chair - Custom Refinish

Unfortunately I neglected to download the before pictures of this sweet desk and chair. And thus you are only seeing the After pictures! This desk was brought to us in a hand painted white finish. This desk is for our client's daughter who is in her senior year of high school and doing a bedroom makeover. Her transformation is the classic black. This desk is a very simple desk yet it has great lines. I think the chair with the vertical lines running down the back compliment all of the vertical lines on the desk nicely. They have been paired perfectly. Did you take notice of my new lamp. Well, my new old lamp? Is it not amazing! I found it last week in my treasure hunting. I got it for five dollars at a multi family garage sale. I love the double bulbs and the dangly pulls to turn it on. And yes , it even works! It does not have a lamp shade and that makes me like it more! Last night Faith and I got it all cleaned up and sparkly again.Notice my old stapler in the back ground there. Love it! The little silver cup pulls on the desk compliment it nicely. They are the original hardware and I don't think it needed to be changed one bit.
We hope Rebekah enjoys her new desk and spends lots of hours here studying! Or maybe just getting dolled up for a fun night out with her friends! I hope it goes perfectly in her new bedroom!

I am linking up to the parties on my sidebar.

I see what you mean about the lines of these pieces; they are very elegant and go perfectly together. I'm also envious of that finish - smooth and beautiful.

Having seen the before table... THIS IS AMAZING!! It's beautiful!! The black makes it perfect because I will admit that I wasn't at all interested in the desk before.

Beautiful lamp! I collect ones like that with round glass balls. I have all forms of them, big, little, sconces. Why, I don't know. Ann

a beautiful table, the black color adds such great grace and elegance to it that instead of seeing this small thing, it looks a complete thing - love the small addition of the drawer for storage

Oh I LOVE it all. Especially the old typewriter. I LOVE those and I "WILL" own one someday! Your NEW "Old" lamp is wonderful... You COULD buy the flicker lightbulbs for it and NOT put a shade on it at all... You don't really get enough light out of the flicker bulbs BUT they sure are fun and look great!
Hugs, Donna

It looks fabulous! And that lamp--what a lucky find! It's beautiful. Here's a weird question---do you use a paint sprayer? How do you get such an even finish??
