The Clarissa Dresser - Before & After

Dimensions:

38" Wide . 38" Tall . 19" Deep

Before
After

This is a lovely antique dry sink that we have painted in a vintage white and lightly distressed. It is the third one we have refinished and each one is a bit different than the rest but has great character and functionality.

The first one we did was for a painter. She uses it as a tabouret to hold all of her painting supplies. The second one went to a family awaiting the arrival of their new babygirl. It was to be used as a changing table. It can also be used as a side table in a bedroom or next to a couch. I also see it on a porch holding tons of potted plants and a place to store gardening tools. And until this one goes off to its new home it is resting comfortably in our living room next to our window and sofa. And I kinda like it there.

Coming up next. . . .
the long awaited Gardner Hutch has been completed
and
it is ours
and
it is amazing
and
we love it.

It is stunning. We made a few cosmetic changes and have no regrets.
I cannot wait to show you the results.

Happy Monday

That turned out really nice. I think some nice potted plants on it would be beautiful and it's got great storage! Looks great in your spot with your potted plant on it.

I don't know how you could ever think of parting with it. It's gorgeous! And I can't believe I never realized what a perfect changing table a dry sink would make. I guess I just don't have the artistic eye that you have! It's a really beautiful transformation!

The piece just looks more fresh in the white paint. I'd like one in my home for plants!

I’m having a new link party “Cheap Thrills Thursday” starting the 29th. It’s for creative ideas that cost under $20. I’d love for you to stop by and join in!

Great photos! I know you like to participate in the tabletop meme at Marty's, so I wanted to tell you that tomorrow I'll have a meme too, that I think you will love! It's called Vignette Friday's, and it's all about tabletop vignettes, bookcase vignettes, garden vignettes - any vignette you set up, photograph, and want to share! If you're interested, please stop by! EVERYONE is welcome to participate, but I really hope you do! :) Thanks, and I'm looking forward to seeing your vignette!

Wow! I am always amazed at how much white paint (or any paint for that matter) can transform a piece of furniture! Suddenly it becomes something out of a Pottery Barn Catalogue (just without the outrageous price tag:-) I love it!

Another fantastic creation, Melanie. A dry sink used as a changing table. Hmmm; that's unique. I'll have to store that idea in my memory bank for my next grandchild. ;)

Thanks for joining the party each week and sharing your talent.

Lovely! I'm trying to be brave and paint my old dry sinks, but I always picture my grandmother shaking her finger at me when it crosses my mind.
