Before The Warr Family is a client who has been so good to us! And they brought us this bed for their sweet daughter Hannah. It has four bedposts and feminine curves on the headboard.
After
This has been finished in a light green with some chocolate glazing. I don't know about the rest of you but I sure have a hard time capturing the true color of these greens and gray/greens. The green appears almost white but nonetheless we are very happy with this makeover!
Is this bed not just darling for a girl's room! I like when headboards and footboards are designed differently from each other such as this one. The top of the headboard has the crowning wood detail and the footboard supports the bedpost design and is much shorter in height. The warmth of the cherry finish under the paint finish pops through nicely.
I think this bed will work wonderfully in a beautiful girl's room with its classic delicate features. We hope Hannah is happy with her new bed.
Up next . . . . I had talked about a trio of dressers. Well the finish is complete but we are a few weeks out on the hardware but it is still to come. Our client Allison Kimball picked some amazing hardware. I look forward to sharing that reveal.
We are currently working on a student desk, chair, and nightstand.
Enjoy the weekend!

That turned out so pretty!! Perfect for a little girls room!!
(I love your little signature on the bottom of your pics too! )
This turned out so pretty. In the thumbnail I thought you had painted "The Frosted Gardner" on it! I think it will look great in a little girls room.
Very lovely, you did a great job! Great clients make such a big difference on how enjoyable the job is...

I'm so glad I got to see this in person. It turned out beautifully.
I'm so happy to see your photo copyright: it's lovely.
I love these beds...my daughter has one almost identical that I also painted but we went with a milky white was effect...I plan to do a post revealing her finished room very soon, but in the meantime here is an earlier "in progress" entry featuring the painted bed.

Put some ruffled sheets on that and it will be lying down in a mint bon-bon! Oh---it is gorgeous! Love it! Diana
Melanie, it's absolutely DELIGHTFUL! I love LOVE the combination of colors too! My little Peyton's bed is VERY similar to that, the footboard is just like that. The beds look like sisters! BTW, I'm having a CSN gift certificate giveaway over at my blog, I'd love for you to stop by and enter if you have a moment!
The bed came out amazing! Great job, I know what you mean about capturing those colors in the photographs. It can be so tricky!
hey melanie- it looks gorgeous, but it definitely looks white in the picture. have you tried taking a picture without the flash? or take it outside when it's kind of overcast for true white light. maybe that will help your pictures be true to color.
What a fun bed for a little girl. It looks really nice. Love all the curves and detail. I agree...ruffled sheets, a duvet and some ruffled pillows would look beautiful.
Hey Melanie! Another beauty...I love this bed! Thanks for linking it up again!! -shaunna :)
