DIY - Lamps

I posted a few weeks back that I wish I knew how to make lamp shade covers. I desperately wanted them for my little girl's bedroom.
My mom is always re-doing something in her own home and had given me three lamps a few years back. When she gave them to me the spindle was a stained wood. An ugly stained wood. I had debated painting these white to match the dressers but I still wanted to bring out the colors of the quilt on the bed.
The color pallette of the quilt is deep red, a bright green, mustard yellow, and pale pink. After bringing home about a gazillion different lamp shades and not being happy with any of them I found these red ones that match the quilt perfectly. I then rummaged through my scrapbooking paper and covered the spindles in three different patterns.

I am still looking for one more side table for this bedroom. The white sleigh bed is super tall so I need something with height. I do not have a ton of room because it will sit next to a closet. I am on the hunt.
