The Gardner Coffee Table - Before & After

This is a rough before picture of our coffee table turned up on its side. When we got this table I didn't realize this was going to be OUR table but after a bit of cosmetic work and a fresh coat of grey paint it was going to work perfectly next to our white sofas. I found the chunky yet curvy legs to be unique and the scalloped skirt all around the base of the table to give it much character. We added a bit of extra height so we could more easily keep the dusty bunnies cleaned up! The true color is hard to see here with all of the white but it is a grey with a slight blue tint.
The grey was inspired by Sharon over at Elizabeth & Co who painted a coffee table in a nice grey a few months back. Sharon has inspiring pieces all throughout her blog! I am so happy what I took away from her and could put a piece similiar in our own sitting room.
It is hard to believe yet another week has come and gone and the kids will be back in school in three weeks. I wish the clock could start to tick a bit slower.

That is a cool coffee table Melanie! It's big enough to decorate and prop up your feet! I agree, the combination of those chunky legs and the scalloped skirt is unique and give it tons of character. And needless to say, I love the grey! You know I always find so much inspiration here. I am so touched that I actually inspired you! Thank you my friend!

I love the legs on your table! The add on you made for the height just adds to the charm of the piece. I thought it was like that originally before you mentioned it!

Visiting from Met Monday! : )

Your table turned out fabulous. I love it painted white. Using the books and the toolbox is such a great vignette for the table. Gorgeous. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

I like the way you elongated the table legs - what did you use? I also love the way you paired the white/gray with your other whites. It's lovely!
