The Bombay Chests - Before & After

We had a very good friend that we met through our furniture find for us these two Pulaski bombay chests. They had seen some major damage especially on the legs. You can see that they are no longer attached to the piece. So with a bit of reconstruction and some TLC they are as good as new.
We do have two of these although only one is pictured. I so wanted to put these to the side of my white couches! They have such a wonderful shape and I of course we kept the original dangly pulls.
These are currently sitting in our store space at The Old Flamingo. Between it is sitting an old metal headboard.
These would also work perfectly as nightstands next to a tall bed draped with white cotton throws and grey pillows. If nobody snatches these up - well it will be a really good excuse to bring them back home with me.

Gorgeous! I'd be willing to bet that they don't make it back home to you though. Someone is going to snatch them up just...like...that! Deb

I have a couple of Pulaski furniture pieces. My daughter used to work for one of their distributors. The pieces are VERY heavy and substantial. Love your re-do~ xo Diana

I love bombay chests! I've always been drawn to their bumbly shape, if that's a word. Almost a liittle whimsical. I think you ought to keep those, Melanie! You did a beautiful job. Hope you're getting all settled in your new home!

Really pretty and the distressing brings out all the curvy details. Maybe they do need to come home with you. But better hurry, they won't sit for long!

LOVE THESE!! I have question and if you have a minute I would love if you could email me! I have some ( a whole set) of "awesome" 90's pine furniture. It's in great shape but I do not like the pine anymore. I was wondering if sometime in August you would be available for a consultation as to colors etc. Also I guess I should ask if you still do painting for other people or is all your time is spent finding totally awesome furniture for us to drool over!

I have always loved Pulaski furniture and would love to own an abused piece to fix up. You did a great job of this and the end result must be a huge feeling of accomplishment.
