We spent time this Easter weekend with my family at my parent's ranch house in Idaho. It is about a two hour drive from home but well worth it because the house sits in the middle of rolling hills and a resevoir just down the lane. This is the twin bedroom and all of the furniture came from my grandmother who has passed on. These twin beds belonged to her and her twin. The beds have some stratches and marking that have some stories and memories. I wouldn't paint these for anything. I love the rich color and details.Along with the twin beds is a matching vanity, bench, and side table. I think most of you know that this old hardware is one of my favorites. These old vanities have great character. I can just envision my grandma and her twin sitting down here to apply some makeup and tidy their hair for a night out with their friends.
I have more ranch pictures coming up as I take you on a tour of some of the fun items my mom has collected.

Oh please tell me I can buy that quilt somewhere!!! Do you know where it is from or is it hand made. I love it.
what a beautiful set- i especially love those beds!
Yep-There are just some pieces that you should never paint! I love these and how wonderful that TWIN beds belonged to twins! It's great that your Mom has them and you can enjoy them when you stay there! xxoo Diana
It reminds me of a bed and breakfast. I wouldn't paint that furniture either, it is beautiful.

I love the beds and the room. Those quilts are beautiful! I have been wanting to make a quilt for awhile now. These inspire me to get started!
I LOVE those quilts as well, if you can share where they were bought or if they were handmade, it'd be great! Thanks for sharing a peek inside your grandmothers home. Beautiful!
Oh darling! I love that so much heritage & family heirlooms have been treasured within your homes.
These are so beautiful and I love that they come with so many special memories. The quilts are so pretty as well, what an adorable room.
I am so glad that you had wonderful Easter with family. :)
Hugs!
What a sweet bedroom! I love the furniture, too! Where in Idaho were you? :)
What a beautiful room and a special place to visit. I really enjoyed looking at your old posts and look forward to future posts on your visits. Idealic in every way.
OMG!! We have that same furniture from my grandmother's house as well.
We don't have that many pieces though. The headboard is broken and we only have the vanity and chest of drawers. They are such beautiful pieces of furniture. They don't make them like that anymore.
Thanks for posting!

What a beautiful set of furniture. I too have my Grandmother's set and will never paint it! Love these quilts, do you know where they were purchased?
That room reminds me of a bedroom in my own late grandmother's home. Twin beds, matching chenille bedspreads, quilts folded at the bottom and a little table between with a pretty embroidered runner. Simply fabulous!! Thanks for the memories ~diane (poindextr.wordpress.com)
Beautiful set! I'm a sucker for a bedroom with twin beds.
Susanne.
Beautiful beds and all the furniture of your grandmother's. You're lucky to have them, so nice that it was your grannys and her twin sister! wow! Loving this.
