The Trio of Black Dressers - Custom Refinish Before & After

Before My wonderful friend Allison brought us three dressers that were all styled exactly the same. Thus the trio of dressers! She went back on forth on color and hardware but I think what she ended up with is perfect.

After First up she put one of the dressers in baby Sophie's room. She went with the black because of the functionality and chose hardware that was whimsical and youthful!
The beaded flower knobs on the top drawer are so feminine and sweet for a little girl's room. Then Allison picked a chunky rustic dangly pull which turned out beautifully. I love mixing and matching hardware and Allison was so fun to work with. She has such an eye for detail and I think the combination of feminine and chunky work really well together.
Next Allison put the other two dressers in her living room slash music room.
Look closely at the side of this dresser to see the treble clef she has included in the design. I think that is brilliant. Nestled above the dresser is The Proclamation of the Family and a beautiful family picture. Once again Allison did not disappoint with her hardware selection. She opted for some big huge chunky painted porcelain knobs on the top drawer and chunky rustic decorative pulls on the rest of the drawers. All of Allison's hardware came from Hobby Lobby. They really have a nice assortment and when you watch for the 50% off week it is very tempting to stock up!
And once again it was a perfect match.

Oh yes - forgot to mention . . .

OMGoodness...I just moved the exact same dresser into my kitchen with the intent of refinishing it after the holidays...I am going back and forth on whether to match the kitchen cabinets or go black...It was awesome to be able to see what it would look like black.

Great job btw

Blessings Kelsie

Wow! The originals were so plain that I never expected such a transformation. Love the hardware choices, great job all around.

I have to know--do you know what the photo is of in the 2nd music room dresser picture? The building? It looks so familiar to me and it's driving me crazy.
