The Gardner Three Trees

It is time for holiday decorating and we did a bit over the Thanksgiving weekend. I have been working on these three little trees made from old book pages for a few weeks now. After making the paper wreaths I decided to try to make these paper trees as well and I am happy with the results. Mike and Coleman made me the little tree stands which are perfect. I wanted to see them under the bottom branches so we left plenty of room. These can be made out of stir sticks found at any paint store!
I used little styrofoam stars covered in brown paper and modge podge to top each tree off. I wanted to stick with a color to match the old pages of the book but options are limitless.
These three trees are sitting in front of our fireplace. Behind it you can see three stockings tied to an antique rod iron headboard. I will talk a bit more about that headboard in a later post. If you are looking for a fun project this holiday season I would recommend this one. It was a bit time consuming but something you can work on and set aside for a later date. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

We will be announcing a giveaway in the next couple of days so be sure to come back and visit. You will not want to miss this one.

Let the holiday season begin!

I love this! You need the book "A Tale of Three Trees" displayed nearby. So symbolic. It is why we have 3 Christmas trees together in our home. The paper trees are absolutely darling!

These trees are great! I love the little tree stand, it reminds me of how they are if you buy them at a side of the road tree shop.
