Before We had a client who purchased The Krew Hutch and requested that we find a table with six chairs and finish it in the classic black to match their new hutch. When I saw the table and chairs above I knew this was the one!
After I love pedestal tables and and this one was no different. We were low on space and I am disappointed that I was not able to capture better pictures but we did the best we could!
But oh my goodness - I think I made up for it because I got snap happy with photos of the chairs. I love these chairs! Oh the details . . . well they never end.
Each leg and spindle is designed with eye catching patterns. I wish I was keeping these chairs for myself. We distressed them quite a bit simply because it was hard not to with so many lines and intricate details. This dining set is going into a brand new home and I think it will work beautifully for this wonderful family.
We hope the Rodgers are happy with their new dining set and hutch. And if for some reason the want different chairs - well I know a kitchen that would welcome them quickly.
Next up is a $5 dresser that was has seen better days. Check back for the transformation!
Happy Weekend!

For that black table/chairs, what type of paint did you use? And do you put a polyurethane finish on your pieces? And if so, what do you use? I am trying to re-do an old bedroom set that I have and I am just not sure of all the ins and outs of re-finishing. Any help would be most appreciated! I am new to your blog and I love it. Love & blessings from NC!

That is so beautiful! I really love it. I usually gravitate towards cleaner lines and geometric shapes, but this set is GORGEOUS! It looks sooo elegant. I can totally picture hosting dinner parties here. The set turned out wonderful. Seriously, I can't say it enough!

Oh my word what a treasure!!!!!!! I love this!!!! I have always loved black painted furniture and even painted my oak cabinets black...this is just outstanding girl...I envy the lucky owner of this beauty...I'd love to know the name of the paint you used..I have always used Ralph Lauren black truffles (or it may have been chocolate truffles!) but I love the look of your color...great post...so glad I came over! ~Picket~
I must say I do like the black better. I am partial to painting.

Ohhh pretty! It turned out so well, and the details on the chairs show very nicely! I'm going to redo my table soon, and I'm trying to decide between cream, brown and black. Black is winning after seeing how WELL this turned out!
Oh I just started a link party and I would LOVE it if you'd consider adding your crafts to it! I'm having flower headband giveaway as part of our first party too! http://imtopsyturvy.com/index.php/2010/07/topsy-turvy-tuesdays-1/
I've had chairs like that for years, so I'm not a real fan. BUT I love the table! It's perfect!
