Treasure In The Corner

I found this painting and could not believe my eyes. It was love at first site and I was in love!

I grabbed it and could not get to the register quickly enough to officially make it mine. I knew exactly where it was going. I wanted this painting where I would get to see it the most!

I featured this little white antique dresser a few weeks back. I intially had put it next to our bed. But it did not feel right. So I pulled it back out into our loft area where we spend most of our evenings playing with our little one.

I adore the girls in their white dressers with their big red sashes in their hair. You can almost feel the warmth of the sun on your arms and back and the wet sand under your feet when you gaze at this painting. It takes you to a fresh happy place. And who doesn't need that?

So this has become one of my favorite corners in our home. This room has been an area of focus for me. It is still a work in process but we are getting there. We sold two sets of couches and currently have none. We have picnic -ed and played in our wide open space for a little over a week now. But I just opened an email that told me our new couches should be arriving today. Oh wahoo! We are still working out the details on an entertainment center and I have my grandmothers two side tables we are refinishing and will be setting them by the new couches.

I am excited to show our completed room. Hopefully soon! And today I am going to pick up an old antique dresser. I cannot wait to get it home!
