The Gardner Entry Table - Before & After and HELP!

Before We picked this little baby up for a steal. The owner originally told me that they had someone else coming to take a look at it but would let me know if they did not want it. At that point I had written it off because typically I never hear back. But this time I did. I have been looking for an entry piece for a small wall we have on our main floor. And this has proved to be perfect. It is small and rather narrow and has so many fun elements.

So this is is where I am requesting some help. We took the wire lattice off the door and we ordered bubble glass. But once I got the books set up I am questioning myself about the bubble glass. I rather like the open look and the display options by leaving the door just like it is.

So what do you think?

The bubble glass was a special order and should be in today.

I guess we will have a decision to make tonight. Thoughts?

The design of the table is so unique. It has straight lines and curves. It has inlays and defined legs.
We kept the original hardware but eliminated some of the gold embellishments that were orginally attached. We felt the more simple look was what we were looking for.
The little dangly pull on the drawer could not be more perfect.
Although small this piece has several levels of details. You can see the back leg is outlined all the way to the top of the piece. The front legs are defined to the top as well. The curved sides are inlayed and pop with the slight distressing. The feet have the original dulled brassy "shoes".
