The Gardner Barnwood Dining Table - Sneak Peak Day 3

Mike has completed the barnwood table top.
Oh how I love it!
The chairs are painted and now I am debating on the seat covers.
Getting close to the final reveal!

    Hi, I just recently found your blog and I was wondering how you all refinished the table top. I am wanting to make a table out of old barn wood but I fear loosing the character of the wood by sanding but I know it must be done. Any tips/advise?
