BeforeAfter
This little dresser was pulled out of a really old house in Salt Lake. We had previously gone to the house to get the Tenisyn dresser and the gentleman selling it told us he had another one upstairs that we might be interested in so I went up to have a peak. The electricity was off and who knows the last time that place had seen the light of day. I saw a glimpse of it only through the beam of a flashlight. I told him I wanted it and went back to get it a few days later.

And I am sure glad we did. It has turned out to be one of my favorites!
I love the bowed drawers and the locks on each drawer.
We replaced the hardware with four little dangly pulls and four dirty glass knobs.

We have finished up with our three antique dressers and next up is a chunky Broyhill dresser and matching nightstand.
We will be participating in a neighborhood yard sale on Saturday June 5th and will be selling some of our pieces if you are interested in stopping by. More details to come.
Happy Friday!

Fun, I have a dresser that is almost exactly like that one...but not. I like how it turned out.
ReplyDeleteI love old dressers like that; you guys did a great job! I was wondering what you do about the old drawers that don't operate smoothly? I mean, these were the days before the drawer slides that you can purchase now. Do you use candle wax or sand a little on the edges? Thanks! Pam
