The Mansfield Dining Set - Before & After

Dimensions:
70.5" Wide and 47" Wide without leaf . 31" Tall . 47" Deep
Before
AfterI so love this table. And Mike knows it. He keeps seeing me eyeing it trying to figure out how we can keep it! I love the oval shape with the pedestal base. It gives room all around the table without bumping into legs! I love how the slight distressing brings out all the extra details that you would not normally see. Is this base nothing but wonderful with its chunky pillar and claw feet support. The chairs have intricate detail. The flatter back makes for comfortable sitting.
I love the spindles down the back! They give the chairs so much character!

Oh my yes! We are happy with this transformation. This would be beautiful sitting next to the Arianna hutch. I would love to see these pieces together.

Up next.. . . Mike is working on a custom refinish of an old dresser to be finished in the vintage white. We also have a custom refinish of a bedroom set to be completed in classic black. And we have some old antique dressers waiting for makeovers!

Check back!

  2. I have a very similar table, but it was white when I bought it. Fortunately my husband loves the table so it's not going anywhere!

  3. Very cool. Do you have any posts on the process of refinishing/painting furniture? And what type of paint you use?

  4. I'm always so jealous of people's furniture re-dos. I'm still trying to convince my boyfriend that we should recover his kitchen chairs!
