The Mae Dresser - Before & After

This is a little antique dresser that I was so excited to pick up. I had called on it a few times and was told it was mine but when I arranged to pick it up - I never heard back. Then one fabulous day I saw it listed again and jumped right on it. I knew this one was meant for me!
Before
After
We kept the original hardware of course. I love the little dangley pulls.
The three levels of beaded wood give it so much flair and character.
Love, love these legs. As you can see I distressed this piece heavily.

The raised back was missing or had been removed when we picked it up. So my ever so handy hubby created one of his own and mounted it. It could not have turned out more wonderfully.

I love the dainty detail at the bottom of the dresser.

I could not be more happy with the outcome of this piece.

I mentioned a while back that I was on the hunt for another nightstand / dresser for my little girl's room. Well I found it! I have been searching and looking and searching some more. It is another old dresser similiar to this one only more narrow and taller! It is a treasure!

Have a fab u lous Monday!

  2. Oh the legs on this one! Anything with those little wheels get me. And the hardware is wonderful too! And that little raised piece on the top drawer would be great for a monogram!
