This dresser turned out beautifully. We had to really work this one. Well, Mike had to really work this one. And he did a fabulous job. I just envision this little dresser as a side table to a big tall bed full of white sheets and a big white down comforter.
I love the little wood decor on the raised back as well as the middle drawer. It gives it so much character. And the picture of the dashing couple are my grandparents just before my grandpa went off to war. They have both passed on now. I would give anything to have an hour to sit down and have a talk. We miss them.
As it turns out - I want to keep this little piece.

ReplyDeleteI have a piece that I would love you to have if you want it. It's a baby layette, and it's from 1980-ish, so it's a very dark dark wood. I don't know if it's the type of quality of wood you look for (not really hardwood), and it's a little banged up, but I'd give it to you if you're interested.
