The Rockwell Vintage Record Cabinet - Before & After

Before AfterThis is a vintage record cabinet we picked up and refinished in our classic black.
It has four vertical cubbies and one horizontal cubby. This piece would work great in a craft room to store and organize various items.
It would also sit beautifully next to a piano to store sheet music.

What an adorable piece. I love the black. I had no idea that that is what they were used for. Love how you displayed it with you wreath and candles holders with apples, beautiful!

That is a fun piece! I could see my husband putting that to good use in his home office. Looks great in black, Melanie! Hope you're having a good week.

Melanie- We actually have two of these- There were 3 of them. My hubby's grandmother was a concert pianist and so she had lots of MUSIC things in her house. I gave one to each daughter. I put little "hooks" on the front of it above the shelves and shirred some heavy velvet fabric on as "curtains". It covers the mess...and...surprise...we actually use ours for MUSIC! The third one (and the prettiest) was given to her favorite piano student. Hugs-Diana

Absolutely LOVE this! You know, my mom has one of these sitting in her garage, that used to belong to my grandmother. I may have to beg it off of her.

I always enjoy my visits to your blog!

A great looking piece now that it's painted black, Melanie. It would be perfect beside a couch, chair, or bed - to store all those decorating mags we gals like to look at. ;)

Have a great weekend!

A great makeover of that record table. I could use it for its original purpose. I have several of the old vinyl records. Large and small. I need this to put them in.
